Ready to bring your love of preparing meals for others to the “table”? We are looking for a Cook to join our Food Service Team. You will work directly with the Food Service Director and play an important role in meeting resident dining needs. You will bring your skills in preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and approved menus, maintain kitchen and food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe and sanitary condition, oversee kitchen operations during assigned shifts, document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration and freezer temperatures, prepare and ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents as required, operate and maintain kitchen equipment according to sanitary standards and work with the Food Service Director in maintaining a high level of service to meet resident needs.

Qualified applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent. Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents in addition to reading and writing English and following recipes and production guides or cleaning schedules. Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare setting and possess the proper permit and training in food handling.

 


Full Time RN MDS Coordinator

As our RN MDS Coordinator your will develop and complete resident assessments in accordance with state and federal requirements and the Nursing philosophy of the Center. Provide on-going objective evaluation of resident’s care through chart reviews, problem identification and develops a plan of correction to meet all regulatory requirements. Relates effectively with all members of the Center’s team, medical staff, residents, resident’s families, external agencies including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers. The position requires the independent responsibility of meeting all state and federal requirements.

Requirements: * A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current CT Registered Nurse/RN licensure * Minimum 3 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred * Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as a MDS Coordinator preferred * Excellence in clinical nursing skills required * Previous knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations dictating resident care plans is preferred.

Education:

  •  Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

  • RN Clinical: 3 years (Required)
  • MDS: 1 year (Required)
