Executive Order No. 14F: Updated Visitation Policy for CT Nursing Facilities – January, 2022What makes Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation Center different?
Thank you so much for the wisdom and care you showed to my aunt P.M and me during the last days of her life …. Notre Dame is the best! B.M, nephew of Notre Dame Resident
Our welcoming and home-like 60-bed residence, including 6 private rooms, and located on five landscaped acres in Norwalk, CT, is operated under the loving sponsorship of The Sisters of Saint Thomas of Villanova. Our goal is to optimize the quality of life for the chronically ill and convalescent elderly. Because of our warm and home-like atmosphere and exceptional staff, our residents feel part of an extended family, fostering close communication and personalized attention, while receiving the very best in medical care. Contributing to the feeling of community is the inclusion of residents’ families in many aspects of life at Notre Dame. Families are asked to be involved in the resident care planning process. Both residents and families are assisted in the adjustment of life here by our social workers. Questions and concerns are always welcome.
What’s new at Notre Dame Health and Rehabilitation Center?
Our intensive neurological (stroke) rehabilitation program is accepting new patients!
Under the direction of our Director, neurologist Daryl Story, MD, our Neurological Rehabilitation Program is designed to return post-stroke patients home as quickly as possible. With our partner, Preferred Therapy Solutions, we ensure that patients receive the therapy they need to return to their previous activities upon discharge.

The way that you care for residents is nothing short of amazing. They are supported medically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally. They are a very lucky group indeed!
